Finding Joy in the Journey

Just a couple of updates...We had our trip down to Southern Cali for Christmas and New Years and then we quickly came back to Rexburg to move into our new place. {love it} After we got everything moved in, I started school up again taking a couple of online classes. Marc just got situated in a full-time position at work and I am still loving my job on campus...

With everything that has come and gone, I got to thinkin' one day...life is so good to me. We have been so greatly blessed in our family. Yes, we definitely had a rough start when we first got married but ever since then it has been smooth sailing. I have to say thank you so much to our parents for raising us in a way that taught us how to be frugal and truly find happiness in what matters most. (We both come from larger families with 6 kids) We find joy in the small and simple things that take place in our lives rather than finding joy in materialistic things. It is important to experience the hardships in live to really love and appreciate the sweet. I am so grateful for the many blessings I have in my life and the true blessing of being able to find joy in the journey. As Pres. Monson stated, "Let us relish life as we live it, find joy in the journey, and share our love with friends and family." (you can find the rest of the talk here.)
