Cali Lovin'

So we have been down in southern Cali for the holidays and I just have to say that I am extremely loving this weather! It is 80* outside where it is 9* back at home. That's a no brainer. I would much rather be soaking up the rays in December than being a popsicle in the frozen wasteland. It has been so fun seeing everyone again. It has been over a year since we have seen some of our family. This is my first Christmas without any snow or having cold weather. It has been an adjustment for me but I am liking it quite a bit. My brain was playing tricks on me as we arrived. I almost felt like time has sped up and is now summer. As I look around the neighborhoods I find it kind of humorous to see Christmas lights and decorations all put up beautifully when it is so hot outside and is "summer time." The other day Marc and I went to the beach for the day and it was so crazy to see everyone in their bikinis and swim shorts. I guess you could say that it is summer time all year long! I don't see anything wrong with that! It has been so fun to soak up the rays for a couple weeks and take a break from the cold and snow. Here are a few shots I took while we were out and about.
There was a sailboat out there I was trying to get but the sun was too bright to get it in the picture.

We were wearing matching shoes without even realizing it!

Love this beautiful flower! This is known as "birds of paradise."

We found these on the beach which is really rare. Typically the only time you can get them is if you go early in the morning before the crowds show up.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and Marc and I wish you all a safe and Happy New Year! Cheers to 2014!!
